But there is also discussion that some leaders are talking about not contesting the elections because their ticket is about to be canceled. Some leaders of Congress-BJP are in no mood to contest elections!

Some big leaders of Congress will not contest elections this year and will campaign for the candidates. This includes former Gujarat Congress state president Jagdish Thakor, Tushar Chaudhary, Siddharth Patel, Paresh Dhanani and Bharat Singh Solanki. However, he has already said that he will campaign for Congress. According to sources, there is a possibility that big leaders of Gujarat Congress including Sukhram Rathwa and Siddharth Patel will not contest the Lok Sabha elections. At the same time, some leaders of BJP also do not want to contest Lok Sabha. This includes former Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel and Cabinet Minister Kunwarji Bavaliya. All these leaders are considered prominent faces on the seats of their areas. Therefore, Sukhram Rathwa has decided not to contest the elections due to his age. However, no official announcement has been made by Congress’s Tushar Chaudhary, who is considered the strongest contender for the Bardoli seat, Paresh Dhanani, Shaktisinh Gohil, Amit Chavda and Siddharth Patel, who are considered the strongest contenders for the Amreli seat.

What did Congress leader Bharat Singh Solanki say?
There was talk that there could be a fight between BJP’s Mitesh Patel and Bharat Singh on Anand seat. But this speculation has come to an end. Recently, Bharat Singh Solanki had written on X that the Congress Party has given a lot to me and my family for decades. I humbly convey to the high command my desire not to contest this election in view of my current responsibility as in-charge of AICC Jammu and Kashmir and to be able to campaign effectively for the party in Gujarat. However, being a lifelong soldier of the Congress, whatever decision the central leadership takes, I will accept and follow it.

What did Congress leader Jagdish Thakor say?
In the last Gujarat Assembly elections, Jagdish Thakor was given the command of Gujarat Congress. As state president, he campaigned vigorously in the state. However, there was a crushing defeat in the elections. After this he resigned from the post of state president. While he is a veteran leader of Gujarat Congress, the high command was discussing giving him an election ticket in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. But all these speculations have come to an end. Former state Congress president Jagdish Thakor said, ‘It is important that new candidates get a chance and come forward. Rahul Gandhi also wants that new candidates should get a chance. For this, discussions have been held from the election in-charge to the top leadership. Other reasons including his own poor health have also been presented for this. Nature will not forgive those who leave Congress during times of crisis. Congress made him big by giving him many posts including MLA, Minister and Leader of Opposition.

BJP leader Kunwarji Bavaliya’s clarification
State Water Supply Minister Kunwarji Bavaliya, while clarifying his candidature in the Lok Sabha elections, said, ‘Some of my political enemies or well-wishers might be discussing such things. Although I have requested the high command, I want to serve the people of the state. I have been going to Lok Sabha for the last five years. Therefore now I have no desire to contest the Lok Sabha elections.

BJP leader Nitin Patel withdrew his candidature
Former Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel has withdrawn his candidature from Mehsana seat. Posting on his Facebook page, Nitin Patel wrote, ‘I filed my candidature as a BJP candidate for Mehsana Lok Sabha seat for some reasons. Candidates for 15 Lok Sabha seats in the state have been announced on Saturday and the selection process for Mehsana Lok Sabha candidate is still going on. Before that, I withdraw my candidature as a BJP candidate. And I pray to God that Narendra Modi becomes Prime Minister for the third consecutive time and increases the prestige of India in the whole world and makes Mother India attain ultimate glory.

How many candidates of BJP-Congress announced?

The first list of candidates has been declared by BJP and Congress. In which BJP announced the names of 195 candidates in the first list, out of which 15 candidates were from Gujarat. Out of which 10 candidates have been repeated. Whereas Congress announced the names of 39 candidates in the first list. But no candidate was declared from Gujarat in this. Now BJP and Congress can announce their remaining candidates any time.

Four Congress MLAs resign after 2022 assembly elections

Before the Lok Sabha elections, the situation in Gujarat Congress is such that in one evening thirteenThere are breaks. So far four MLAs have resigned from Gujarat Congress. These leaders also include former state president of Gujarat Congress and member of Gujarat Assembly from 2004 to 2007. Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Arjun Modhwadia, MLA from Manavadar Arvind Ladani, MLA from Bijapur C.J. Chavda and Khambhat MLA Chirag Patel are included. Ambrish Dere, leader of Ahir community in Amreli, has also resigned from Congress. Talking about non-Congress leaders, AAP MLA from Waghodi Bhupendra Bhayani and Independent MLA Dharmendra Singh Vaghela have also resigned. The special thing is that all these leaders have resigned and joined BJP. However, Arvind Ladani is on the next date. He is going to formally join BJP on March 14.
