PM launches nation-wide ‘Pradhan Mantri Mandhan Pension Yojna’ from Ahmedabad

These people had just shouted slogan of ‘Garibi Hatao’ (Eradicate Poverty) for long time of 55-years, but, it is my government that has implemented the best schemes for the labour – poor people of the country in just 55-months.

The Prime Minister launched nation-wide ‘Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Mandhan Pension Yojna (PMSYMPY)’ from Ahmedabad, today.

He said, It should be noted that the PMSYMPY would benefit 42-crore shram yogis of the unorganized sector. Each member of the scheme would get monthly secured pension of Rs. 3,000 at the completion of 60 years age. The Central Government would contribute equally to the share of the shram yogis aged between 18 and 40 years. To join the scheme, the shram yogis will have to make monthly contribution between Rs. 55/- and Rs. 200/-, Mr. Modi said.

Mr. Modi further stated that as many as 14.50 lakh people have joined the scheme today. “I am dedicating this scheme to the sharm yogi of the country.” Recently, the Prime Minister had launched ‘Pradhan Mantri Kishan Samman Yojna’. On February 1, 2019, these both scheme were announced in the Parliament and both have been implemented in reality.

On the occasion, the Prime Minister also distributed the ‘Pension Cards’ to the beneficiaries, who had arrived from every parts of the country, of the scheme.
