Over 100 international and 200 domestic buyers-sellers and 150 exhibitors-artisans are participating in the four-day event at seminars, exhibition, demonstration, consultation and B2B meet.
\nGujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today inaugurated, he said the State Government is committed to facilitate state-of- the-art facilities to help local traditional artisans catch up with the changing times with the help of Internet and Search Engines. He gave details of the Gujarat Government\u2019s MOU with Amazon for sales of handicraft and handloom during the Vibrant Gujarat Summit.
\nHe said the government made budgetary provision of Rs.450-crore for the development of handicraft and handloom. The government provides continuous training and guidance to the artisans to improve their skill, improve quality and market their products to ensure employment.<\/p>\n
Gujarat has a rich kaleidoscope of Kuchchi-Jamnagari Bandhani, Patan\u2019s Patola, Kuchchi Embroidery, Rogan Painting and Pithora Art. Cottage Industries Minister Jayesh Radadiya said that \u2018Garvi Gujarat\u2019 with the help of web portal has established itself as a global identity, made possible due to the relentless enterprise of the artisans, ably assisted by government efforts. He wished the buyer-seller meet provided the right platform for the benefit of the participants.
\nCottage and Village Industry Secretary Sandeep Kumar gave details of the event in his
