In Gandhinagar, the Chief Minister Vijay Rupani felicitated the 30 winner teams of the state-level \u2018Children Innovation Festival\u2019 jointly organized by The Gujarat University Start-up & Entrepreneurship Council\u2019 and UNICEF.<\/p>\n
Rupani further stated that the young students are filled with curiosity and competence to make innovative thinking and dreams; thus to make them realities, the state government has provided needed platform through such festivals.<\/p>\n
Inspiring the young brains, the Chief Minister stated that a new spirit has been generated with \u2018Start-up innovations\u2019 for success of \u2018Making in India\u2019 campaign of Prime Minister Mr. Narendrabhai Modi.<\/p>\n
Rupani also pointed out that Gujarat has adopted a new strategy for \u2018Start-up Policy\u2019, and \u2018Students Start-up Innovations Policy\u2019, along with \u2018Youth Start-up\u2019.<\/p>\n
The Chief Minister said that Gujarat has become \u2018Start-up\u2019 hub of the country with its lion share contribution of 43%. He also called on to fulfil the dream to make the Indian Economy of 5 trillion US$ envisaged by Mr. Modi \u2013 a reality through scaling new achievements with \u2018Start-ups \u2013 Innovations\u2019.<\/p>\n
The Education Minister Mr. Bhupendrasinh Chudasama praised the young brains for their capacity and competence to find solutions for challenges using the technologies, rather than succumbing to them.<\/p>\n
Dr. Himanshu Pandya informed that the festival has attracted participation of 478 teams, consisting of 979 children, from 22 districts of Gujarat. Of them, 114 teams, consisting of 216 children, were short-listed during the \u2018Boot-Camp\u2019 held in November-2019. Of them, 30 teams, consisting of 63 children, were selected.<\/p>\n
Mr. Pandya also expressed gratitude towards Gujarat Government for giving assistance of Rs. 20-crore for setting-up \u2018Dr. Vikram Sarabhai Children Innovation Centre\u2019.<\/p>\n
