Pusa Tejas is also known as HI8759. This variety is nothing less than a boon for wheat farmers. Hence it has become a center of attraction among the farmers.<\/p>\n

Pusa Tejas HI8759 Various Kathia or Durum wheat variety HI8759 have been identified for cultivation under high fertility and irrigated conditions in Madhya Pradesh. It is genetically modified high-yield hard wheat gene structure. Its yield is 3.8 percent to 12 percent higher than other varieties. It yields a best of 75.5 quintal per hectare. Average yield is 57 quintals.<\/p>\n

12.0 percent protein content, yellow pigment 5.7ppm and essential nutrients such as iron 42.1ppm and zinc 42.8ppm. Good quality for pasta, semolina, oatmeal, bread.<\/p>\n

The crops suitable for the climate of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Rajasthan (Kota and Udaipur divisions) and Uttar Pradesh (Jhansi divisions) are ready in 115-125 days. 3 to 5 water is sufficient for low water self. The first irrigation is given in 25\u201330 days of sowing, the second irrigation is given in 60\u201370 days of sowing and the third irrigation is given in 90\u2013100 days of sowing.<\/p>\n
