\u2018Kisan Suryoday Yojana\u2019 (KSY) opined the KSY from Tilakwada in Narmada District. SKY scheme that will daily supply day-time electricity for eight-hours to 454 villages of Narmada, Tapi, Bharuch, Surat, Valsad and Navsari district of South-Gujarat.<\/p>\n
The first phase of the KSY, covering 1055 villages, was launched in October, 2020. Now, in the second phase of the KSY 4,000 villages of the state will be covered; while all the villages of Gujarat will be covered under the KSY by year-2022. The state government is firmly determined to supply day-time electricity to the farmers of Gujarat in next three years. For this purpose, the state government has also ensured a provision of Rs. 3,500-Cr for the next three years.<\/p>\n
With a view to provide agricultural power supply to the farmers during the day-time in coming days, the Chief Minister had proposed to construct 11 new 220 KV substations at a cost of Rs. 520 and new 254 new 220 \/ 132 \/ 66 KV lines at a cost of Rs. 2444.94-Cr.<\/p>\n
Every electricity connection is costing Rs. 1.60 lakh. But, the farmer need to pay only Rs. 10,000 per connection as the state government is offering subsidy of Rs. 1,800-Cr. This year farm-subsidy of Rs. 7,500 was given. The present government has given 13,607 agricultural electricity connections in last 18-years.<\/p>\n
