Not a single university in Gujarat supported by the Gujarat government has ever been ranked 50th in India, not in the world.<\/p>\n<p>What the Chief Minister is claiming is far from the truth. 10 years ago, Modi had invited administrators of 100 universities of the world to Vibrant in Gujarat. Even then the universities of Gujarat were made world class. But nothing happened. Today the government is misleading the people that the government has done a great job by making 103 world class education universities in Gujarat.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 1300 universities in the world have been named in the QS World University Rankings 2022. Last year, QS released the list of top 1000 universities in the world. In which only 35 institutions from India got a place. 7 of these institutions have made it to this list of best universities in the world for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>According to the QS Ranking 2022, MIT of America is at number one and Oxford University of UK at number two in the world&#8217;s top 10 universities. Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), this year also MIT has been ranked as the best university in the world. This Cambridge, USA based university has scored 100 out of 100 marks.<\/p>\n<p>America&#8217;s Stanford University fell down a notch. Which was the second best university in the world last year. Cambridge University was exactly like that.<\/p>\n<p>Harvard University of USA was ranked fifth. The California Institute of Technology ranked 6th, followed by Britain&#8217;s Imperial College London at 7th. Switzerland-based Swiss Federal Institute of Technology has been ranked 8th. UK University UCL London got 9th place and USA&#8217;s University of Chicago got 10th place.<\/p>\n<p>Gujarat in 2022<br \/>\nGujarat is top in business, but nowhere in the country in business education.<br \/>\nTwo Indian business schools in the list of top institutes in The Economist MBA Rankings 2022 Indian School of Business (ISB) in Hyderabad got the 75th position in the ranking. The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad, located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, has been ranked 99th in the list of top-100 universities in the world. IIM-Ahmedabad has been ranked 51st and ISB 44th in The Economist&#8217;s MBA Rankings 2021. In 2019, India&#8217;s premier management institute, IIM-Ahmedabad, was the only institute from India to make it to the list, ranked 75th. In which the Government of Gujarat has no stake. American business schools occupy 9 of the top 10 spots on this list. Harvard Business School topped the list, followed by the University of Pennsylvania&#8217;s Wharton School and Northwestern University&#8217;s Kellogg School of Management at the second and third places, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>in 2020<br \/>\nIndia had 11 institutions among the top 100 universities in the world. In the Times Higher Education Emerging Economies University Rankings 2020, among the top 100 universities out of 533 universities in 47 countries, China had the highest number of 30 institutions. In which 56 institutions of India have got a place. India had 11 institutes in the top 100. According to the ranking, the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) has got the 16th position. IIT Kharagpur was ranked 32nd, IIT Delhi 38th and IIT Madras 63rd. But not a single one from Gujarat.<\/p>\n<p>7 years ago<\/p>\n<p>Gujarat&#8217;s universities were ranked among the top 100 universities in the world. Gujarat University was ranked 73rd in the country&#8217;s top 100 list.<\/p>\n<p>Education research work in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) of the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development, number of students, Ph.D. The names of 100 universities of the country were announced focusing on faculty, PG programmes, student work and publications.<\/p>\n<p>10 years ago<br \/>\nIn 2012, representatives of 100 universities from all over the world came to Gujarat for the Vibrant Gujarat Summit. Modi&#8217;s plan was to make Gujarat&#8217;s universities world class. But today Modi is completely failing. Hasmukh Adhia, Principal Secretary, Department of Education had said 10 years ago that representatives of 100 universities of the world would discuss the education system, various courses, modern concepts of education in a lively summit. It was considered to make Gujarat&#8217;s universities world-class.<\/p>\n<p>Cause<br \/>\nEducational-technical upgradation, no research, insufficient expert faculty and administrative staff. Make syllabus as per demand, semester system has reduced academic activities, examination work has increased. Financial irregularities-irregularities, attachments, paper tearing,<br \/>\nGood people are not allowed to work. Losses from political dignitaries, increased political interference. Politicians do politics. The appointment of Senate-Syndicate members is political. Global academic research is not valued. The tension between the teachers leads to scandals in result. The government does not give enough money. Donors are no longer donating.<\/p>\n<p>Gujarat University<br \/>\nin 2020<\/p>\n<p>Gujarat University was ranked 60th in the list of top 100 institutes in India by NIRF. For the first time in the history of Gujarat a university<\/p>\n<p>Apart from IIT-Gandhinagar, it had secured such a high position in the top 100 list of NIRF. Gujarat University is the largest university in the state with 4 lakh students enrolled in 326 colleges. There are more than 62 academic departments in the Gujarat University campus. The university has become the first university in the country to set up a research park on the campus. 4 lakh students in 326 colleges. The university has a state-of-the-art startup support system, three nationally funded incubators at GUSEC, two finishing schools, on-campus BSL-2 facility and an upcoming sports city named after Sardar Patel. Facilities for over 17 Olympic-standard sports.<\/p>\n<p>in 2015<br \/>\nKnown for IIMs and IITs, not a single Indian university has made it to the top 100 universities in the world. Educational institutions from 21 countries were included in the world reputation ranking list announced by Times Higher Education magazine. However, India&#8217;s highest ranked Indian Institute of Science did not find an entry in this list.<br \/>\nAmerica&#8217;s Harvard University has got first, Cambridge University (UK) second and Oxford University third. 8 of the top 10 and 43 of the top 100 universities were from the US. The UK was second with 12 universities among the 100 universities. Germany ranks third with 6 universities.<\/p>\n<p>Which is the top Harvard University in the world?<br \/>\nAmerica&#8217;s oldest, largest and world&#8217;s leading university.
