Superstructure of Gandhi Bridge damaged, walls of Parimal Underpass broken<\/p>\n

70 bridges were inspected by the Bridge Project Department of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and 75 percent of the bridges were found to be defective.<\/p>\n
32 bridges including river bridge, flyoverbridge were inspected in the river bank area. The super structure of Gandhi Setu has been found in poor condition. Cracks have been found in the walls of Parimal Underpass. Repair of other bridges including Anjali, Shivranji Flyover Bridge has become necessary. The walls of Gujarat College Railway Flyover Bridge have broken.<\/p>\n
After inspection of 37 bridges in the east zone of Ahmedabad, 32 bridges in the river area were inspected by Pankaj M Patel Consultants Pvt Ltd and Geo Design and Research Pvt Ltd agency. The condition of level crossings in various areas of the city was also inspected. Shri Ram Infra Care Pvt. Ltd. will be given work worth Rs. 2.69 crore for repair of various bridges.<\/p>\n
