The average wealth of the country&#8217;s Chief Ministers is Rs 52.59 crore. India&#8217;s per capita net national income in 2023-2024 is about Rs. 1,85,854, while the average income of a Chief Minister is Rs. 13,64,310, which is about 7.3 times India&#8217;s average per capita income. The total wealth of the country&#8217;s 31 Chief Ministers is Rs 1,630 crore.<\/p>\n<p>Out of the 31 Chief Ministers of the country, only two are women &#8211; West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Delhi Chief Minister Atishi. They are also poorer than male Chief Ministers.<\/p>\n<p>13 (42 percent) Chief Ministers have criminal cases registered against them. 10 chief ministers or 32 per cent have serious criminal offences. These include attempt to murder, kidnapping, bribery and criminal intimidation.<\/p>\n<p>Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is the richest chief minister of India with assets worth Rs 931 crore, while West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has assets worth only Rs 931 crore. The least rich are chief ministers with assets worth Rs 15 lakh.<\/p>\n<p>The Association for Democratic Reforms &#8211; ADR analysed the details submitted in the affidavits of chief ministers of 31 states and union territories so far. Among the chief ministers, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel is at number 15 with assets worth crores. No criminal case has been registered against him and Bhupendra Patel is the only chief minister with less than a diploma education.<\/p>\n<p>Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu is the second richest chief minister with assets worth more than Rs 332 crore.<\/p>\n<p>How much property does the chief minister have?<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has assets worth Rs 46 crore.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has assets worth Rs 42 crore.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has assets worth Rs 25 crore.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Assam Chief Minister Hemant Biswa Sarma has assets worth Rs 17 crore.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has assets worth Rs 13 crore.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has assets worth Rs 8 crore.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Sukhu has assets worth Rs 7 crore.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini has assets worth Rs 5 crore.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Uttarakhand Chief Minister has assets worth Rs 4 crore.<\/p>\n<p>Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has assets worth Rs 3 crore.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has assets worth Rs 1 crore.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has assets worth Rs 1 crore.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has assets worth Rs 1 crore.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has assets worth Rs 1 crore.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Delhi Chief Minister Atishi has assets worth Rs 1 crore.<\/p>\n<p>Debt of Chief Ministers<\/p>\n<p>Khandu has a debt of Rs 180 crore, Siddaramaiah Rs 180 crore. 23 crore, Naidu Rs. 10 crore.<\/p>\n<p>Why Andhra fertile?<\/p>\n<p>Andhra Pradesh has had rich chief ministers. Former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was declared the richest Chief Minister with assets worth Rs 510 crore during his tenure between 2019 and 2024. Naidu declared assets worth Rs 177 crore as the richest Chief Minister between 2014 and 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Top 10 richest Chief Ministers two years ago<\/p>\n<p>Jagan Mohan Reddy, the richest Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister of India since 2019, had total movable and immovable assets worth Rs 510 crore.<\/p>\n<p>Pema Khandu<br \/>\nTwo years ago, India&#8217;s second richest Chief Minister Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu had assets worth about Rs 163 crore.<\/p>\n<p>West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee does not own a house.
