Out of the state\u2019s 53,050 Anganwadi centers, <strong>719 centers lack drinking water<\/strong>, and <strong>1,711 centers do not have toilet facilities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Under the <strong>Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS)<\/strong>, Anganwadi workers are responsible for providing nutritious meals to children. However, in many cases, this scheme exists only on paper. States like <strong>Bihar, Haryana, Karnataka, and Odisha<\/strong> also perform better than Gujarat in terms of basic infrastructure.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>\ud83e\uddfe Grant Scam in Banaskantha<\/h3>\n<p>In <strong>Banaskantha district<\/strong>, <strong>\u20b92 crore<\/strong> was allotted to <strong>2,344 Anganwadi centers<\/strong> for school repairs. However, there are allegations of <strong>corruption<\/strong> and misuse of funds, with many centers <strong>not receiving any repair work<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>\ud83d\udccc Conclusion<\/h3>\n<p>Anganwadi centers, intended to shape the foundation of children&#8217;s futures, are facing <strong>severe shortages of basic amenities<\/strong>.
