On September 13, 2025, the third National Lok Adalat of the year 2025 was held in the state of Gujarat.<\/p>\n<p>13,67,485 cases were placed for settlement. Of these, 8,28,556 cases were settled, with awards worth \u20b91,626 crore.<\/p>\n<p>The National Legal Services Authority and the Gujarat State Legal Services Authority are assisting. Cases involving accident compensation, civil claims, criminal disputes involving check bouncing, offenses punishable with fines, marital disputes, and industrial disputes were heard.<\/p>\n<p>4,25,754 pre-trial cases in the state were settled.<\/p>\n<p>Awards worth \u20b981 crore were awarded.<\/p>\n<p>380,000 e-challan cases were settled, resulting in recovery of \u20b925 crore.<\/p>\n<p>3,471 marital disputes pending in courts across the state were resolved.<\/p>\n<p>Of the pending cases, 400,000 were resolved through Lok Adalats and special meetings, resulting in awards worth \u20b91,545 crore.<\/p>\n<p>790 cases older than 10 years were settled through the conciliation system.<\/p>\n<p>All courts in Gujarat are conducting campaigns to target old cases for settlement, with 5,638 cases submitted to the Lok Adalat.<\/p>\n<p>Justice Sunita Agarwal, Chief Patron of the Gujarat State Legal Services Authority, and Justice A.Y. Kongje, Senior Judge of the Gujarat High Court, provided detailed guidance to all district and taluka legal services authorities.<\/p>\n<p>2024<br \/>\nIn 2024, 2.1 million cases were settled by four Lok Adalats. Similarly, in the Ahmedabad Rural Court, the insurance company awarded a whopping \u20b991 lakh compensation to the heirs of such a deceased. Out of a total of 15,500 cases in the Metropolitan Court, 11,938 cases were settled in the Lok Adalat.<br \/>\nA total of 330,655 pre-litigation cases were also settled in the state through Lok Adalat.<br \/>\nA total of 2,85,837 e-challan cases were settled, and \u20b917.15 crore was recovered.<\/p>\n<p>1,296 cases dating back 10 years were settled.<\/p>\n<p>2023<br \/>\nIn 2023, 6,42,150 cases were settled, netting \u20b9157 crore.<\/p>\n<p>2022-2021 National Court<\/p>\n<p>The National Legal Services Authority organizes Lok Adalats in 36 states. In 2022, 4 million cases were settled in a single day. Compensation worth \u20b92,706 crore was also awarded.
