The BJP won 62 out of the 68 municipalities contested. Elections were also held for 3 Taluka Panchayats.<br \/>\nOut of a total of 1,844 seats, 167 seats were won uncontested.<br \/>\nVoting took place for 1,677 seats across 66 municipalities. Of these 1,677 seats, the BJP secured 1,377.<\/p>\n<p>Samajwadi Party<br \/>\nThe Samajwadi Party (SP) emerged victorious in Kutiyana and Ranavav, located in the Porbandar district.<\/p>\n<p>Independents<br \/>\nIn the Anklav Municipality of the Anand district, Independent candidates (backed by Congress) secured a majority.<\/p>\n<p>Tie<br \/>\nIn the Dakor Municipality, the election resulted in a tie between the BJP and Independent candidates.<\/p>\n<p>Salaya<br \/>\nThe voting eligibility of Mulubera\u2014the Forest Minister in Bhupendra Patel&#8217;s government\u2014was cleared for the BJP&#8217;s Bhanvad Assembly constituency.<\/p>\n<p>Congress managed to secure only one municipality in the entire Dwarka district: Salaya. In the Salaya Municipality elections within the Devbhumi Dwarka district, Congress reclaimed 15 out of the 28 seats. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) won 13 seats. Notably, the BJP failed to win a single seat in Salaya. Among all the local body elections held, this was the only municipality where the BJP did not secure a single seat.<br \/>\nIn Bhanvad, BJP candidates were elected unopposed to 8 out of the 24 seats. Voting<br \/>\nElections were held for 68 municipalities and 3 Taluka Panchayats.<br \/>\nVoter turnout stood at 61.65 percent in 66 municipalities. For the mid-term elections in two municipalities, the turnout was 35.23 percent. Voting for 19 vacant seats across various municipalities recorded a turnout of 37.85 percent.<br \/>\nIn the by-elections held for eight seats in District Panchayats, the voter turnout was 43.67 percent.<br \/>\nThe by-elections for 76 seats in Taluka Panchayats witnessed a voter turnout of 57.01 percent.<br \/>\nThe voting process remained peaceful, and no re-polling was required at any polling station.<br \/>\nG.C.
