Drug abuse is on the rise as individuals order narcotics and codeine-based medicines for recreational purposes, often obtaining prescriptions from doctors generated through AI. To curb this, Jaswantbhai Patel, President of the Chemists&#8217; Association, has demanded a ban on online medicine refills. In protest, 55,000 registered chemists and 35,000 pharmacies across Gujarat remained closed today.<\/p>\n<p>Approximately 33\u201340% of India&#8217;s pharmaceutical production takes place in Gujarat.
