Shailesh was running the woman’s textile business. The woman’s husband was very ill and needed money, so she had borrowed Rs 1 lakh from Shailesh five years ago. The woman could not pay the money on time, so Shailesh took advantage of her helplessness and raped the woman.<\/p>\n
A case was registered in September 2026 against Shailesh Maksana, a prominent BJP leader of Morbi and husband of a woman councilor of the Municipal Corporation, for the rape incident that took place in the year 2020. He had threatened to rape and kill the woman.
\nShailesh Maksana is accused of calling the woman to his house on the pretext of extorting money and forcibly raping her. There was repeated physical abuse.<\/p>\n
