\u2018Valley of Flowers\u2019 is one of the attractions of \u2018Statue of Unity\u2019
\n(SoU), world\u2019s tallest statue of \u2018Sardar Patel\u2019 setup at Kevadia Colony in Gujarat. The
\nSoU is flanked by 17 km long patch of colourful flowers along the banks of River
\nNarmada to make the spot resembling a rainbow of flowers setup on earth.
\nThe Valley of Flowers project contains over 100 variety of flowers like Garmado
\n(yellow and red), Gulmohar (red), Champo (white), Khakhro (red), Pongaro (red),
\nshrubs like Galtora (red and yellow), Tecoma (yellow), Boganveliya (white, red,
\nyellow, and pink) Nerium, and climbers like Qualisis, Wadeliya, Allamandacathartica,
\nand bamboos and colourful grasses, all seasons flowers like Marigold, Calendula,
\nSunflower, Vinca and others.
\nIn the initial phase, the sowing of flowers is done in area of 250 hectares. But, the
\nplan is afoot to expand it to cover over 3,000 hectares. The unique feature of the
\nvalley of flower is that the entire area of 32,500 sq. Mt. is covered with drip-irrigation
\nsystem. In addition, two beautiful lakes \u2013 \u2018Kamal\u2019 and \u2018Poyani\u2019 \u2013 are also developed.
\nWith a view to give firsthand experience of nature and environment to visitors,
\nnatural treks \u2013 Reva Trek, Sadhu Trek, Vainkutth Baba Trek, Sardar Trek, and
\nAshwasthama Trek \u2013 have been developed. In addition to these, other attractions
\nlike Adventure Park, Garden of Five Senses, Selfie with Statue, Sardar garden etc.
