In its report of the top 10 fastest growing cities of the world, the Global Economic Research has included Gujarat\u2019s two cities \u2013 Rajkot and Surat.<\/p>\n
Giving details about the developmental projects aiming at all-round development of Gujarat, Mr. Rupani said that they included total 75 flyovers. Of them 54 are in eight municipal corporations, including eight flyovers in Rajkot alone, and 21 in Nagarpalikas.
\nHe said that the construction works of building either an underbridge or an overbridge at 37 railway crossings across Gujarat, at the total cost of Rs. 470- crore, would begin during the year 2019-20.
\nMr. Rupani said that to\u00a0 meet the challenge of modern days\u2019 internet and mobile cybercrimes, the state government has setup cybercrime police stations in cities like Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot. Last year, the state government has strengthened the police force by appointing over 18,000 police personnel through a transparent recruitment system.
\nOthers spoke on the occasion included Rajkot city mayor Mrs. Binaben Acharya, Municipal Commissioner Mr. Banchhanidhi Pani, and Deputy Mayor Mr. Ashwinbhai Moliya.
