\nSpeaking at the function, he said that 115 dams in the Saurashtra region would be filled
\nwith the Narmada waters at a cost of Rs.18,000-crore by the coming year. Given water and

\nMr. Rupani said that it was Prime Minister Narendra Modi when as the Chief Minister of Gujarat he had decided to take the surplus floodwater from the Narmada Canal to perennially free the parched land of the Saurashtra region from water shortage. At that time he was ridiculed by anti-Gujarat elements, having no face now to criticise the government.
\nHe said that while the Congress Government deceived the farmers by disbursing paltry Rs.50,000-crore, the Narendra Modi Government started Kisan Sanman Nidhi Yojna to give
\nRs.7.50-lakh crores to the farmers. The government is going ahead with the slogan of
\n\u2018Ayodhya-ma Ram; yuvano-ne kaam; kisano-ne sahi daam, monghwari-par lagam\u2019.
\nMr. Rupani also inaugurated the multi-storeyed Police Residential Quarters built by the
\nState Police Housing Corporation at a cost of Rs.23.73-crore at the Bhavnagar Police
\nHeadquarters, and a hospital built in collaboration with Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB) at
\nAlang shipbreaking yard. At the same time, he laid the foundation stone of total 2,496 EWS-
\n1 and EWS-2 flats by Gujarat Housing Board (GHB) at Tarasmania in Bhavnagar. The employees of Revenue Department and Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation presented a
