The State Government is determined to make Gujarat as ‘Green Gujarat – Clean Gujarat’ by planting over 10-crore trees in the current year, says Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani while planting 35,000 saplings at AUDA garden being developed over 62,000 square meter area at Bhat village near Gandhinagar, today.
On the occasion, the plantation was also done by Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Nitinbhai Patel and Forest Minister Mr. Ganpatbhai Vasava. The AUDA garden is also going to have amenities like cycle-track, walk-way, amphitheater, party plot and others. The garden is being developed with co-sponsorships from Hero-MotoCrop and The Times of India under its ‘Green Drive’ Project in collaboration with the Forest Department. Mr. Rupani further stated that swelling of the green belt is the option to meet the challenges being poised against the environment protection by the global warming and rising of pollution.
