Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani as the
Leader of the House moved a resolution in the State Assembly today to unanimously
condemn in strong words the death of 44 jawans in the terrorist attack at Pulwama in
Jammu & Kashmir on February 14 last.
Leader of the Opposition Pareshbhai Dhanani, Deputy Chief Minister Nitinbhai Patel and
other members of the House paid their tributes to the martyrs.
In the resolution, the House strongly condemns this attack, pays tributes to the jawans and
prays for peace to the departed souls.
Expressing grief at the martyrdom of 44 jawans in the cowardly and inhuman attack, the
Chief Minister recalled that the nation’s unity under the name of religion has been under
attack since long as terrorist attack on Kashmir is still on. There is no reason for the Armed
Forces or the Governments to lose confidence. The nation feels proud for type of people’s
retaliatory reactions it is getting for the bereaved families. Parents say that if they have
second son would send them to Military. People are sending their contributions for all
corners of the nation for the bereaved families.
All political parties have come together to unitedly fight terrorism. Realising the gravity of
the attack, the Central Government has also taken up several strict actions against
terrorism. Every citizen firmly believes the Central Government may take stricter actions to
eliminate terrorist and end terrorism.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also agree with the public angst that terrorists have
committed a grave mistake for which they would have to pay heavy price. The martyrdom
would not go waste. Every drop of blood shed by the jawans would be revenged.
On the other hand, severe anger against Pakistan and terrorists has burst open among
every citizen of the country. They are reposing full faith on our Armed Forces, on our
Government. Every person wish fight should be taken to the level of faceoff. The Union
Government has started taking definite steps to ensure there should be no terrorist activity
on our land, have to observe some patience.
