Gujarat gets International Bullion Exchange, Dholavira as World Tourist Destination, Maritime Museum at Lothal

Gandhinagar, Saturday:  Chief Minister Vijay Rupani on behalf of the people of Gujarat today thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirnala Sitharaman for presenting a pro-people Union Budget.

He lauded the Budget’s focus on social sectors like education, health for every citizen, every class and every section of the society. It reflects that India is on way to become a five trillion dollar economy.

Welcoming the Budget, Mr. Rupani said the International Bullion Exchange at the GIFT City in Gandhinagar will lend pace to global trade in Gujarat, developing Dholavira in Kutch as iconic archaeological site will help it become a world tourist destination, and Maritime Museum at Lothal will glorify the ancient seaport site in the Gulf of Khambhat.

He welcomed the extension of the National Grid by 27,000 km to help Gujarat continue its lead in maximum coverage in the state, special attention to the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet train project, tax relief to small and middle class groups help increase purchasing power.

Mr. Rupani said the Income-Tax relief in continuation of that granted in Corporate Tax will generate savings and boom economy. The budget allocation for warehousing, solar pumps, irrigation, animal husbandry, dairy, fishery and integrated farming will help farmers double their income and compete with their produce in the international market.

He welcomed giving pace to infrastructure development, OBCs, new airports, digital connectivity, industrial promotion, districts as export centres.
