Gujarat ranks 21st despite spending 400 crores on vaccines

The BJP government is putting the health of the young generation of Gujarat at risk due to gross negligence

In Gujarat, the government spends Rs. 36 thousand for the vaccination of 10 children per child. 13 lakh children of the state are given vaccines worth Rs. 408 crore absolutely free of cost. But the Gujarat government is not paying enough attention to vaccination, due to which the health of the people is at risk. Gujarat ranks 21st in the country in vaccination.

The poor performance of the BJP government has directly affected the health of the poor, common, middle class citizens of Gujarat. On the other hand, the lives of thousands of people have been put at risk due to the corona vaccine. Heart attacks have increased.

In Gujarat, children from birth to 16 years are given 10 types of vaccines to protect them from toxic jaundice, infant TB, polio, diphtheria, tetanus, tetanus, HIB bacterial disease, rotavirus diarrhea, measles and rubella.

This quantity of vaccine is stored by the state government in ILR (Ice Lined Refrigerator). In which the temperature is maintained between 2 to 8 degrees, so that the quality of the vaccine is maintained.

The BJP government is very careless in providing vaccines in Gujarat. It is behind other states and the national average. Only 76.3 percent of children have been vaccinated in Gujarat.

According to the results of the National Family and Welfare Survey – 5 Reports on Vaccination of Children Up to 12 Months of Age, DTP 3 – Inequality in Vaccination of Children lagging behind Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis Vaccine.

87.7 percent immunization work has been done in Bengal, 86.2 percent in Jammu and Kashmir, 80.4 percent in Rajasthan, 79.7 percent in Chhattisgarh and 77.10 percent in Madhya Pradesh.

The best performance is of Orissa state with 90.5 percent. While Gujarat has become the outermost state with 21st rank.

There is a long-standing shortage of 27 community health centers, 171 primary health centers and 2828 sub-health centers in 33 districts.

In the rural areas of Gujarat, 185 posts of doctors in primary health centers, 162 in community health centers, 256 in sub-district hospitals and 173 in district hospitals have been vacant for a long time.

In the 344 community health centers of the state, only 206 doctors are on duty against the requirement of 2064 specialist doctors. The post of 1858 specialist doctors has been vacant for a long time. More than 90 percent of the posts are vacant.

Under BJP rule, businessmen and businessmen have become healthy. The health of the poor, common people and the middle class is in danger.
