Competition-2020 organised by National Crime Record Bureau
Gandhinagar, Friday: The Gujarat Police Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems have won first prizes in the National Hackthon and Cyber Challenge-2020 Competition organised by National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB) under the Union Ministry of Home Affairs.
Gujarat Cyber Cell’s DCP Rajdeepsinh Zala received the prize from Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai at the 35th foundation day of the NCRB in New Delhi.
Gujarat had participated in the event with two entries in ‘Incident Response Unit’ and ‘Income-Tax Case Detection’ under Gujarat Police Cyber Aashvast Project. The Project was launched by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in January last.
There were nearly 500 entries on best case studies, innovation in cybercrimes investigation from almost all the States and Union Territories. The competition was held in three separate tracks, while Gujarat got the prize for e-Raksha under Track-3.
Chief Minister Vijay Rupani congratulated the State Police Team for winning the prize in the competition.
The other entry in which Gujarat won the first prize was regarding seven Nigerians hackers along with six others were involved in repeated hacking the accounts of 4,572 Indians.
