Gujarat Government signs MoU with US Institute of 3-D Technology in California

Gandhinagar, Friday: Gujarat Government’s Education Department signed a MoU with US
Institute of 3-D Technology in California here today for introducing the project in the seven
select engineering colleges and technical institutes in the state.
The seven institutes are Vishwakarma Government College at Chandkheda-Ahmedabad,
Government Engineering College at Gandhinagar, Bharuch and Rajkot, i-Hub, MS
Polytechnic at Baroda, and Kalol Government Technical Institute at Kalol, to be extended
elsewhere. To be set up a Centre of Excellence in 3-D Printing Technology
The MoU was signed by Gujarat Knowledge Society Additional CEO Bhuptani and US
Institute of 3-D CEO Deelip Menezes.

The project would update syllabus 3-D printing technology, layer by layer, with the help of
computers in colleges and help students, startups, professionals and researchers help the
industrial sector. It has wide use in aerospace, mechanical, automotive, production, civil
architecture, industrial design, consumer goods, dental, medical, dye and mold,
pharmaceuticals, etc.
Those completing the course could jobs in India and abroad, besides increasing their
creativity in real-time innovations, skill development and start own enterprise.
