MSMEs in Gujarat grew from 2.74 lakh to 8 lakh in 20 years

Gujarat today has become a major center of industrial development. As a result of these efforts, Gujarat is today one of the most preferred states for doing business in the country.

The number of micro, small and medium enterprises in the state was 2.74 lakh two decades ago, which has increased to 8 lakh today. Industrial production was 1.27 lakh crore in 2007, which has increased to 16.19 lakh crore today in 2022.
Gujarat will be at the forefront with the help of its entrepreneurs in fulfilling the dream of making the country a 5 trillion economy.

Gujarat has become the growth engine of the country today. At a time when there is immense potential for the development of agro-based industries, the government will make substantial efforts for the development of projects like textile parks.
The minister said that due to the availability of Narmada water in Surendranagar district, the dry area would now be green and many opportunities would be created for the development of agro-based industries in the district.
