The protest of teachers against the government is not stopping, while now computer teachers protesting in Gandhinagar for the recruitment of computer teachers in government schools have been detained. The Gujarat government had announced the recruitment of 24,700 teachers in government schools last month due to the agitation of TAT and TET candidates, but no announcement was made regarding the recruitment of teachers in subjects like computer.
Today, a large number of computer teachers from various places of Gujarat reached the Gandhinagar Secretariat. These teachers had gone to present their side before the state level Education Minister Kuber Dindor. After presenting their side in the office of Kuber Dindor located at Swarnim Sankul-2, they protested. A delegation of computer teachers raised slogans near the old secretariat gate outside the assembly premises. These teachers had demanded from the media and the government on the recruitment issue by carrying banners and posters demanding the recruitment of 800 teachers.

The Gandhinagar police have detained the teachers after they came to a public place and raised slogans. According to sources, Minister Kuber Dindor had given a positive reply to these teachers, but the teachers took to the streets and raised slogans demanding that this reply be made public. The Gujarat government has announced the recruitment of more than 24,700 teachers in various phases between August 2024 and December 2024, and since teachers of some subjects have not been announced, teachers’ organizations and associations of various subjects are coming to put forth their point in written and face-to-face before the government.
