What will happen if the information of two crore voters is found to be incorrect, in Gujarat?

Ahmedabad, December 24, 2026
In Gujarat, after the Special Summary Revision (SSR), the provisional voter list released on January 19 showed discrepancies in the details of 1.73 crore out of 4.43 crore voters. The data of 40 percent of the voters did not match. On December 6, 2025, the election system had reported only 66 lakh discrepancies. Now this has increased to 1.73 crore. The Form 7 scam suddenly surfaced after a meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. Before that, the BJP had announced its state president. Even before that, the previous state president, Patil, had announced that he wanted BJP MLAs in all 182 seats in Gujarat. This means that not a single MLA from the opposition party would be allowed to remain in Gujarat. This implies that the BJP wants to establish a dictatorial government in Gujarat.

In this way, the Election Commission has now become a “Scam Commission.” If this continues, the ruling party can come to power with 182 MLAs with the help of machines and by plotting to remove names from the voter list. The then BJP president, CR Patil, had announced that he wanted all 182 seats.

The Form 7 scam has also come to light. The commission and leaders are playing a game of removing names without the knowledge of the voters. At least two crore voters’ names are being removed. 10 lakh Form 7 applications were received, and before that, discrepancies were reported in the details of 1.73 crore voters.

This data was reported under the Special Summary Revision (SSR). According to the data received, a record number of applications have been received this time for removing names from the voter list. A total of 12,59,229 Form-7 applications have been received by the Election Commission from across the state for removing names. This form is usually filled to remove the names of voters who have died, have duplicate entries, or have permanently moved away. The filing of objections on this raises suspicion. Following the effective operation of the counting phase of the SIR (Special Intensive Revision) campaign launched across the state from October 27, 2025, the draft electoral roll was published on December 19, 2025.
6,54,594 Forms 6 and 6A have been received for adding names to the electoral roll.
6,54,594 Forms-6 and Form-6A have been received for adding new names.
5,04,835 Form-8s have been received by the Election Commission for corrections in voter card details or migration within the same assembly constituency.
It is alleged that BJP workers across the state filled out not thousands but lakhs of Form-7s in a single day, while the Election Commission refused to provide Form-7s to Congress workers. Form-7s were filled with the intention of canceling the names of more than ten thousand voters in each assembly constituency. Based on this, the total number of Form-7s could be between 18 and 20 lakhs.

What are Forms Number-7, 6, and 8?

Form Number-6 is for adding names.

Form-8 is for migrating voters.

Form Number-7 is for registering objections to names.

Form 7
Also, Forms 7, 6, and 8 are used in every SIR process, and the final voter list is prepared based on these. Now, a large-scale scam is being uncovered in the preparation of the final voter list.

Someone has filled out Form 7 declaring themselves deceased and applied to cancel their EPIC number or election card.

Scam
Form Number 7 has been misused on a massive and systematic scale to manipulate the voter roll. The BJP government is snatching away the right of one person, one vote. This shows the pre-existing collusion between the BJP and the Commission. The Election Commission, by claiming to clean up the voter roll, has created a threat to democracy. The details of Form-7 have not been provided to political parties, nor have they been made public. The Congress party claims that BJP leaders are personally submitting Form-7s at the offices.
Until January 15th, the number of Form-7s in all districts was very low, but between January 16th and 18th, millions of Form-7s were suddenly submitted.
Form number 7 allows any person to raise an objection against any voter. Someone is taking full advantage of this rule.
The Congress and Aam Aadmi Party claim that more than 10 lakh Form-7s have been submitted across the state by January 18th.
The mobile numbers on the Form-7s are incorrect, the handwriting on the forms is the same, and the information appears to be computer-generated.

The Election Commission is also involved in this entire conspiracy. CCTV camera recordings should be checked.

88 Form-7s at a booth in Anjar
At booth number 253 in Anjar taluka of Kutch district, 88 Form-7s were submitted at the office simultaneously. The submission of so many forms at once has raised suspicions of a conspiracy.

FIR may be filed
Many voters have not raised any objections or signed anything.
If Form-7 is filled with false evidence, the police can file an FIR against them. This carries a provision of up to one year in jail and a fine.

Khambhat
In Khambhat, a Form-7 was filled showing a councilor’s mother as deceased, even though she is alive.
There are allegations of a scam in the SIR process with audio evidence. Since the Congress won the Khambhat seat by only 3,711 votes in the 2022 assembly elections, most of the complaints are coming from there.

Jamkhambhaliya
In Jamkhambhaliya, there are allegations of a plan to cancel 10,000 votes from one assembly constituency.

Ahmedabad
In the Dariyapur assembly constituency, approximately 29,000 such false Form-7s have been filled, while in Jamalpur, it appears that a conspiracy has been hatched to remove Muslim voters by incorrectly filling out approximately 21,000 Form-7s. Incorrect applications have been filed using Form 7 to remove the names of approximately 24,000 voters. A police complaint should be immediately filed against those who submitted these applications.

In Dariyapur

The BJP’s margin of victory is 5,485 votes, while in areas like Bapunagar and Jamalpur, the lead is approximately 10,000 to 12,000 votes.

Patan
In various talukas of Patan district, the names of more than 50,000 people were found to be incorrect.

Tankara in Morbi

Now
Voters’ house numbers are being displayed according to their age.

The old 2002 list had discrepancies due to incorrect names, house numbers, and ages of 1.73 crore voters. Due to these discrepancies and mapping issues, BLOs have now issued notices to everyone to be present in person. Even though the voters are not at fault, they are being punished without any wrongdoing on their part, which indicates electoral fraud.

According to the Election Commission’s instructions, voters who had submitted their documents to their BLO, ERO, or AERO did not need to be given notices.

6.54 lakh applications have been received for adding names to the final voter list. 12.60 lakh applications have been received for removing names.

If there are any objections or other claims regarding name details, claims and objections can be submitted until January 30th.

A total of 6,54,594 Forms 6 and 6A have been received as of January 22, 2026.

2002 SIR
In response to an RTI application by Alpesh Bhavsar and Satishsinh Rathod, the Election Commission stated that the process of the 2002 SIR in the state began on August 31, 2001, and the final list was published on April 10, 2002.
The draft list included 316,824,489 voters. After the list was published, the commission received 3,355 objection applications, of which 1,295 applications were approved and the names of such voters were removed. However, according to Form 6, 78,127 voters were added at that time, and the total number of voters across the state reached 317,413,362.

Earlier,
According to details released on December 6, 2025, after 99% of the work was completed, discrepancies were reported in the names of 66 lakh voters.

Voters who have permanently migrated: 36.89 lakh
