About 349 out of 1000 schools in Anand and 1495 out of 500 government schools in Kheda district have been found in a dilapidated condition. On the other hand, it has come to light that the officials do not have the answer to the information like how many rooms were proposed to the government and how many dilapidated rooms are pending and how many rooms have been repaired and tenders have been filled for making new rooms. ,

No implementation despite instructions to demolish dilapidated rooms

As stated in the notification letter issued by the Primary Education Department of Anand and Kheda districts to all the headmasters, TPOs, BRCs of the district on April 29, 2023, the demolition of the dilapidated classrooms will be near Lok Sabha elections. To avoid any untoward incident during the work and election process, it was asked to take immediate action to demolish the approved classes as per rules. Dilapidated rooms should be removed immediately

Complaints about lack of monitoring of new room

Anand and Kheda District and Taluka Education Department will have to monitor whether the work of the new room sanctioned by the government has been done by the contractor as per the rules or not. But most of the officers are busy with other work and complaints are being received about showing tours only on paper.
