On August 15, 2024, at 10 am, farmers will occupy 169 acres of land in Bela village and Nanda village and hoist the national flag to warn the government. With this, 15 villages in 3 talukas will be occupied one after the other, whose 3300 acres of land has been occupied by the strongmen, politicians and industrialists. This unique kind of movement has been seen in India in Gujarat.
3300 acres of land in Kutch was not occupied for 35 years. The backward farmers of Kutch are struggling. They have been struggling for 35 years. In 1983-84, the then state government had acquired the land with the aim of improving the living standards of the Scheduled and OBC (Other Backward Classes) communities. Now the national flag is being hoisted on this land and the land is being taken back. The BJP governments have remained silent till date. Earlier, 800 acres of land was occupied in Rapar in a similar manner.
12 days ago, a final warning was given to the Kutch Collector that out of the four talukas of Kutch, the land given to Dalits in 15 villages including Bela and Nanda villages of Rapar taluka has been occupied. We pay government taxes, but someone else does farming.
3 thousand acres of land allotted in 4 talukas of Kutch, Kutch, Bhuj, Anjar, Rapar and Bhachau taluka, which is occupied by other people, should be vacated. If this does not happen, the land will be occupied and the national flag will be hoisted on 15 August.
In Kutch district, 3 thousand acres of land allotted to the Dalit community has been occupied by anti-social elements. If the land is given to its original owners, they can earn their livelihood by farming on it.
There was a struggle going on to give landless farmers the ownership rights of the land.
Vadagam MLA and State Congress Working President Jignesh Mevani is leading this movement.
Including 7-12 plots are in the name. With the blessings of BJP, 3000 acres of land worth crores has been illegally occupied.
The maximum pressure is on 1200 acres of land in Rapar taluka. Collector Amit Arora and Border Police Range Chief Chirag Kordia have given a presentation on this issue.
There is no rule of indiscriminate land allotment to private companies in Kutch. Whereas the farmers who have the right do not even get a chance to do other work including measurement to give them possession of the land.
In the coming days, the issue of damage to agriculture due to wind turbine wires will be raised in addition to the revenue status of Agsia, Maldhari, Banni.
Earlier 800 acres of land was acquired.

731 acres in Bhuj
More than 731 acres of land acquired in Santhani in Bhuj 40 years ago has not yet been handed over to the Scheduled Castes in direct possession. On August 5, 2019, 500 people gathered in Bhachau. Due to good rains, Dalit beneficiaries reached Jangi village to sow on the land. The matter got heated as both the parties came face to face. The villagers of Jangi believe that thousands of bighas of land occupied by farmers in the limits of Jangi should be transferred to Shri Sarkar in exchange.
