CM flags off ferry service connecting Ghogha and Dahej

Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani today flagged off ‘Ro-Pax’ ferry service connecting Ghogha and Dahej and said that our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has shown us how and impossible is made possible.
He announced that in the upcoming December -2018 the ferry service will be
started between Hajira to Gogha.
Mr. Rupani showed green signal to the passengers entering the Ghogha- Dahej Ro-Pax
ferry service and also expressed his desire to connect kutch- Porbandar- Somnath-
Dwarka pilgrimage places with such services. As a result of this ferry service the distance
of Ghogha- Dahej which is approximate 360 kms will reduce to 31 km via sea route. Due
to which the time, fuel and energy will be saved, he added.
Mr. Rupani also added that this service will bring new ways of industrial progress with
Bhavnagar-Bharuch district's maritime trade. The 1600 km long coastline of Gujarat is now becoming the gateway for the mass trade of country. He clearly stated that BJP
Government has realized the mantra of “Sauno Sath Sauno Vikas” by providing easy
travel facilities to the common man.
Bhavnagar MLA Mr. Jitubhai Vaghani said that, while inaugurating the Ro-Ro ferry
service our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi had dreamed for the Ro-Pax ferry service
which has been brought true today. He said that the sea route journey will save time,
fuel and money of an individual. He expressed his feelings for the Ro-Pax service after
the Ro-Ro ferry service. The distance between Ghogha- Dahej is approx. 360 kms which
takes minimum 8 to 10 hour time to travel will be reduced to around 1.5 hours.

On the occasion Education Minister smt Vibhavriben Dave, MP smt Bhartiben Shiyal,
District Panchayat Head, Bhavnagar Mayor, Collector, District Development officer,
Housing Board Chairman, Principal Secretary of Port Department, Gujarat Maritime's
Vice President, Executive officers and people from Bhavnagar were present.
