6600 km of water and sewer lines will be mapped

There are 1 lakh 75 thousand machine holes in 48 wards of Ahmedabad city. Which will be mapped with the help of satellite. Digital data of the main holes and catch pits of drainage and rainwater lines of Ahmedabad city will be prepared. BJP officials will spend money to make its map at the cost of the lid.
A digital map will be prepared by finding the main holes of sewer lines using Google mapping and preparing data. The pilot project was started in Dariyapur ward. Now it will be implemented in the entire city. Machine hole mapping will be done by the e-governance department using global positioning technology for machine hole mapping.
Sewage laser records and tracks sewage infrastructure data digitally. After completion, information on pipeline location, maintenance schedule, flow metrics and treatment plant operation will be available. 9 sewage treatment plants, 45 sewage pumping stations and about 2500 km of sewage network are operated and managed in Ahmedabad. The water pipeline is 4105 km. A centralized, transparent, real-time database will be used. Infrastructure related to water and sewage operations will be able to be planned. Operation and maintenance costs will be controlled. There will be central control and regulation over water and sewage operations. All machine halls, catch pits, chambers, pumping stations, treatment plants, network pipelines and other components of the city will be operated. Full details of inspection of sewage infrastructure will be recorded. Employees will be able to monitor the work regarding presence on site. For civil service, micro management and macro management will be more accurate, real-time. Dashboard monitoring will be done. The above project will be implemented for 3 years at a cost of Rs 4 crore. Complaints 1811 complaints are received daily about sewage from Ahmedabad city. 98 thousand complaints of polluted water due to leakage of water and sewage lines are received annually. Apart from sewer overflow, backflow of sewer water, people have to drink polluted water due to leakage in water and sewage lines. Complaints of sewer overflow are increasing. Despite spending 43 crores in 1 year, 3.51 lakh complaints are received. Contractors use high flow jetting, mini jetting, super sucker machine and combined jetting machines for desilting. The city government has 60 sewer cleaning machines. Apart from this, sewer is cleaned with the help of 4 privately owned machines. Despite this, complaints of sewer overflow are increasing. In Ahmedabad, two recycling machines have been brought on rent for Rs 33.45 crore for 7 years so that workers do not have to go down for cleaning sewers. 66 desilting machines are used for cleaning sewer lines in the city. To clean the sludge, dirt and garbage accumulated in the sewer lines, the Municipal Corporation has rented two jetting cum section machines with state-of-the-art technology. These two recycling colour machines have been purchased on PPP basis for a rent of Rs 33.45 crore for 7 years. Now that Google has conducted the survey, its benefits can be availed.
