Giving details about the developmental projects aiming at all-round development of Gujarat, Mr. Rupani said that they included total 75 flyovers. Of them 54 are in eight municipal corporations, including eight flyovers in Rajkot alone, and 21 in Nagarpalikas.
He said that the construction works of building either an underbridge or an overbridge at 37 railway crossings across Gujarat, at the total cost of Rs. 470- crore, would begin during the year 2019-20.
Mr. Rupani said that to meet the challenge of modern days’ internet and mobile cybercrimes, the state government has setup cybercrime police stations in cities like Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot. Last year, the state government has strengthened the police force by appointing over 18,000 police personnel through a transparent recruitment system.
Others spoke on the occasion included Rajkot city mayor Mrs. Binaben Acharya, Municipal Commissioner Mr. Banchhanidhi Pani, and Deputy Mayor Mr. Ashwinbhai Moliya.
The event was also graced by MLAs – Mr. Govindbhai Patel, Mr. Lakhabhai Sagathiya, Mr. Arvindbhai Raiyani, Chairman of Municipal Finance Board Mr. Dhansukhbhai Bhanderi, Rajkot City BJP Mahila Morcha’s in-charge Mrs. Anjaliben Rupani, and others.
