- Gujarat Chief Minister talks to representatives of Panjrapols over 7 th edition of ‘Mokla Mane’
- “Need to locally grow fodder through modern management technique”– Vijay Rupani Gandhinagar, Thursday: Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today called for developing Gujaratas a Non-Violent State, true to its tradition of ‘Jeev Daya’ towards all living beings.Talking to trustees and representatives of Panjrapols (cattle pounds) and socialorganisations working in the field of cow conservation from across the state over the 7 thedition of his ‘Mokla Mane’ programme at his residence here, he recalled that prominentcitizens have been looking after the abandoned unproductive cows from their ownresources for ages.Mr. Rupani assured the Panjrapol representatives that their demand for municipalcorporations and municipalities bearing the cost of cattle pounds’ looking after stray cattlewill be considered. It is not just the duty of the government and Panjrapols but the entiresociety to look after the abandoned cattle.Instead of procuring fodder from far-off rain-fed places, he stressed the need for locallygrowing fodder with minimum use of water through modern management techniques byPanjrapols, with the help of rooftop solar panels, wind turbines and sprinkler irrigation.Mr. Rupani talked about preservation and popularisation of the Gir-Kankrej cows throughthe government’s Nandi Ghar Yojna.Mr. Rupani has been talking to the representatives of the most neglected sections of thesociety under his ‘Mokla Mane’ programme, with open heart and open mind to solve theirtypical problems. It was his 7 th such meeting today.
