Maniben produces 1,100 liters of milk daily

Maniben of Banaskantha has secured second place in Banaskantha district by selling milk worth ₹19.4 million in 2024-25. This year, the goal is to purchase 100 more new buffaloes and sell milk worth ₹3 crore.

Manuben Jesungbhai Chaudhary, 65, a resident of Kasara village in Kankrej taluka, produces 1,100 liters of milk daily at the local Patelwas (Kasara) Milk Producers Cooperative Society.

In 2024-25, she produced 347,180 liters of milk, worth ₹19,405,047.

Vipulbhai is the youngest of three sons in the family.

In 2011, there were 10 cows and buffaloes. In 2025, this number will increase to 230. There are 140 large buffaloes, 90 cows, and 70 calves. They want to increase milk production by purchasing 100 buffaloes.

A shed has been set up. The buffaloes here are of the Banni, Mehsani, and Murrah breeds. Along with the HF cows, there are also four indigenous Kankrej breeds.

Employment for 16 families
Approximately 16 families are associated with Manuben. They use machines to milk the cows and buffaloes.
All three are in the dairy business. They are graduates.
Of the 16,000 dairy committees in the state, 4,150 are run by women.
Of the total 3.6 million members in the state, 1.1 million are women. Banas Dairy produces approximately 9 million liters of milk a day.
