Namo name, Lakshmi and Saraswati scholarships worth 1250 crores in myth

Namo Lakshmi Yojana for girl students of class 9 to 12 and Namo Saraswati Yojana for class 11 science students were started by Bhupendra Patel’s BJP government from June 2024. Big advertisements came at this time and schools were also forced to apply immediately.

The state government had given Rs. 1250 crores this year. Every month Rs. 125 crores were to be given. But that did not happen. Instead, an average of Rs. 24 crores per month will be given, sources believe.

Payment in September
1 lakh 20 thousand students till September 2024. 12 crores were paid.

1 crore 62 lakh rupees were given to 16 thousand students in Surat, 1 crore 4 lakh rupees were given to 10 thousand students in Ahmedabad, 86 lakh rupees were given to 9 thousand students in Rajkot, 82 lakh rupees were given to 8 thousand students in Banaskantha, 65 lakh rupees were given to 7 thousand students in Navsari.

October payment

Under the Namo Laxmi scheme, 7 lakh girl students will get money by the end of October. Rs 174 crore was given. Under the Namo Saraswati scheme, 1 lakh students were given Rs. 40 crore.

An average of Rs 2,687 was paid per student.

Payment in November

By the end of November 2024, 2 lakh 50 thousand students will get Rs. 28 crore 46 lakh assistance was given. An average of Rs. 1138 was paid per student.

Despite verification of students three times, money has not come into the accounts of many students. The reason for which is not known to the school or education office.

It was also verified and approved by the District Education Officer’s office. It was to be approved by the Education Commissioner.

The stipulated amount was to be deposited directly into the student’s bank account in several phases for 10 months from June.

20 percent of the amount has come into the student’s account. Many students have not received the amount in their account.

How many have been paid, how many students have dues and the reasons for the dues have not been disclosed.

Namo Laxmi and Namo Saraswati Scholarship Scheme has been started by the Gujarat government to prevent children from dropping out of school.

Provides financial assistance to students. Financially deprived parents get financial incentives from the government.

The scheme aims to increase student enrollment, reduce school dropouts and improve the nutritional status of adolescent girls.

The age of the applicant should be between 13 and 18 years. Students studying up to class VIII in private schools have to prove that they are from an economically deprived background. Family income should be less than Rs. 6 lakh. Necessary documents are submitted to prove residence, age and income group. Was registered in the Child Tracking System (CTS) portal.

Namo Laxmi Yojana

Namo Laxmi Yojana aims to provide Rs. 50,000 assistance to girls studying in secondary and higher secondary schools in Gujarat.

Rs. 500 per month for 10 months.

Rs. 10,000 will be given when the girl passes the 10th class board exam.

Rs. 750 per month for 10 months each in class 11 and 12. An amount of up to Rs. 15,000 is given to the girl after passing the 12th class board exam.

Namo Saraswati Vigyan Sadhna Yojana was going to provide direct financial assistance to about 15 lakh students of class 11 and 12.

50 percent marks

Students securing more than 50 percent marks in class 10 board exams will be eligible for admission in science stream in class 11 and class 12.

This scholarship is provided to students studying in state government, aided and self-aided schools affiliated to the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board as well as schools recognized by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

A total of Rs. 25,000 scholarship will be provided to students of class 11 and 12 in science stream. Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 5,000 are given on passing the 12th board exam.

65 thousand applications of Namo Lakshmi and 25 thousand students of Namo Saraswati came from Bhavnagar district.

Aid

Under this scheme, students studying in science stream in class 11 and 12 are provided financial assistance of Rs. 25,000. For which the state government has allocated Rs. 250 crores will be given.

Namo Lakshmi Yojana

A total assistance of Rs. 50 thousand is given. In which Rs. 500 per month is given during studies in class 9 and 10, a total of Rs. 10 thousand and after passing class 10, Rs. 10 thousand is given. Apart from this, students of class 11 and 12 will get Rs. 750 per month in total 10 months. Aid of Rs. 15 thousand and after passing class 12, a help of Rs. 5 thousand is given.

The state government has allocated a budget of Rs 250 crore this year in the Namo Saraswati Yojana.
