CM for the Government’s Rs.2-cr subsidy to promote regional film
The producers, director, writer, actors and artists of the National best feature film award-winning Gujarat movie ‘Hellaro’ paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Vijay Rupani here today.
The entire team thanked the Chief Minister for the Rs.2-crore subsidy and assistance for the film as per the Gujarat Government’s policy of promoting regional films.
It is for the first time in the history of Gujarat film industry that Suvarna Kamal award winning film Hellaro won 15 medals, including 13 medals for its 13 actresses. The film also made it to the International Film Festival of India. The team showed the medals to the Chief Minister.
The film’s producer-director Abhishek Shah especially thanked Kutch’s Member of Parliament Vinodbhai Chavda and Gujarat’s Minister of State for Vasanbhai Ahir for their cooperation in shooting the films like Jara Hatke and Hellaro in Kutch.
He especially expressed happiness at a Gujarati film’s dubbed in English making waves abroad amidst a number of Hindi and foreign films in foreign languages, besides well taken by the Gujarati diaspora.
