Ahmedabad, August 11, 2025

A simple personality turncoat MLA has shaken his entire government. He has challenged Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi and Home Department in-charge Bhupendra Patel that our police is going to extort money. They are taking an installment of Rs 70 thousand for gambling.

BJP MLA from Manadar, Junagadh, Arvind Ladhani had accused the Manawar-Bantwa police of extortion. He was sitting on a dharna in front of Manawar police station. He accused both the police stations of extorting money by forming gambling clubs. These clubs take an installment of Rs 70 to 80 thousand every month. Gambling crimes happen with innocent people. Saying this, MLA Arvind Ladhani was going to meet the SP personally to get information about the case. He demanded a fair investigation and strict action against the responsible officers.

DYSP Dinesh Kodiatar said that the accused who fled from the gambling raid had misled the MLA. Batwa police had raided the gambling den. In which 3 accused were arrested. 12 accused had absconded.

Do not join BJP

While being a Congress MLA, Arvind Ladhani had said, ‘I have joined BJP to complete the incomplete development works of the area. I will try to deepen and widen the rivers of Gherd Panthak, irrigation work, road construction and provide water to Manavadar city every day instead of five days.’

These works are still incomplete and the citizens of Gherd are agitating against them.

I am not joining BJP
On Congress MLA Jawahar Chavda joining BJP, Arvind Ladhani had said, there is no question of me joining BJP, I am not Jawahar Chavda. Our human religion should be loyal to the one who has voted for me, so there is no question of joining BJP. If any wrongdoing has been done, I oppose it.

Defection

Before the Lok Sabha elections, after Congress’s Ambrish Der, Arjun Modhwadia, Navsari Congress leader Dharmesh Patel and Mulu Kandoria, Manavadar MLA Arvind Ladhani was a Congress MLA in March 2024. He defected and joined the BJP. Junagadh MLA Sanjay Kordia got Arvind Ladhani to defect and join the BJP. BJP state president CR Patil welcomed him in Vanthali. This time former minister Jawahar Chavda was absent.

With the resignation of Arvind Ladhani, Congress has become extinct in Saurashtra. Now the only Congress MLA in Saurashtra is Vimal Chudasama.

Kordia was brought to the BJP to counter Jawahar. Now Kordia has come against the BJP over the installment of the gambling club.

Defeated a billionaire
BJP leader Jawahar Chavda has assets worth Rs 130 crore. Jawahar Chavda was a minister in the Rupani government. He was a 4-time MLA. He was made a minister after joining the BJP in 2019. Kordia defeated BJP leader Jawahar Chavda, who travels in a jeep worth Rs 36 lakh and wears a watch worth Rs 85,000. He defeated BJP’s Jawahar Chavda, who has the political legacy of Congress’s Pethalji Chavda.

Congress’ Aam Aadmi Ladani came to the assembly 3 years ago. He used to campaign on a bike and became an MLA. He did not marry. He lost to Jawahar Chavda in the 2019 by-election. He contested the MLA election for the first time against the then BJP minister Jawahar Chavda in the 2019 by-election. He faced defeat by 9000 votes. Congress gave him a ticket once again in 2022.

He became a BJP MLA on 11 June 2024. Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Arvind Ladhani got 82,017 votes, while Congress candidate Haribhai Kansagra got 51,001 votes. The BJP won with a lead of 31,016 votes.

Letter to Patil

As soon as he became an MLA, Ladhani wrote a letter to BJP president CR Patil. Ladhani made serious allegations against former minister and former Manavadar MLA Jawahar Chavda. Ladhani alleged that Jawahar Chavda carried out anti-party activities by putting forward his wife and son. Ladhani alleged that Jawahar Chavda’s son Raj Chavda held a meeting with BJP workers on May 4 and traders on May 6 and instigated them to vote against the BJP candidate.

The letter alleged that Jawahar Chavda’s son had urged 700 to 800 employees to vote in favor of the Congress. A meeting was held with employees at the Nutan ginning factory on May 6, 2024. Jawahar Chavda’s son Raj Chavda had announced his support to the Congress candidate. On the day of polling, Jawahar Chavda had visited the rural areas of Manavadar-Vanthali and Mendarda. During this tour, he had called for voting in favor of the Congress.

22 office bearers of Manavadar BJP were also accused of being involved in anti-party activities. Ladhani was accused of colluding with Congress leaders of Mendarda taluka to get anti-BJP votes on the day of polling.

Jawahar Chavda also made a statement that some people in the party are responsible for my defeat.

Violation of rights
BJP candidate in Manavadar by-election Arvind Ladhani had written a letter to BJP state president CR Patel. Arvind Ladhani has violated the privilege of the assembly in this letter. If he has used it even though he is not an MLA, then it can be said that he has violated the privilege of the assembly.

For this violation, the privilege committee of the assembly can take action against them, in which action is taken as per the instructions of the Speaker.

Controversy against Dilip Sanghani

On January 22, 2025, Ladhani had accused the director of GujComsol of irregularities in the purchase of peanuts at a subsidized price. If the relatives of the director are getting huge benefits, then in Junagadh district

There is huge corruption in the municipality. There have been allegations of arbitrariness in the purchase of peanuts. GujComsol officer Narendra Singh Parmar was going to claim a defamation of Rs 1 crore on MLA Arvind Ladhani.

Rejecting the allegations of the MLA, Dilip Sanghani has said, “Corruption, malpractice or any other irregularities have not been mutually implemented in GujComsol.” He has appealed to the farmers to immediately inform him if there is any case of corruption or malpractice in GujComsol.

Putting the ears of the officer

When the problems of the people of Manavadar were not resolved, they sat on a dharna in front of the municipal office in protest. When the work was not done, he pushed the chief officer. The officer’s ears were also caught.

Actually, the MLA had reached Manavadar to listen to the problems of the people and sat on the ground outside the municipal office. Due to the late start of pre-monsoon work in Manavadar, cleaning of many areas has not been done yet. In such a situation, seeing the problems of the people, the MLA sat there and wrote all the questions in the diary.

Corruption in the riverfront

Our MLA from Visavadar Assembly Gopal Italia had alleged in Vanthali Assembly that, ‘Chemical milk is filled in Savaj Dairy. Chemical milk is filled by BJP people. The riverfront of Manavadar has been completed, but today it has become orphan. The people of Manavadar have to pay an average tax of Rs 1250. If the municipality bears the cost of maintenance of the riverfront, then this tax can increase to Rs 2500. About 400 families have become homeless.

The chairman of Savaj Dairy has made serious allegations of corruption in the riverfront without naming former minister and former MLA of Manavadar Jawahar Chavda.
