Where did the drugs landed at Adani’s Mundra port go? Amit Shah Reply
Gandhinagar, 27 June 2023
26 June 2023 was the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking in Narcotics Drugs. From a mere Rs 768 crore of drugs seized in 2006-13, it increased almost 30 times to Rs 22,000 crore in 2014-22, which is 181% more cases against drug traffickers than before. Money earned from smuggling is used against the security of the country.

In 2006-13, drugs worth only Rs 768 crore were seized. In eight years from 2014-22, medicines worth 30 times more i.e. 22 thousand crore rupees were sold. 181% more cases were registered against drug traffickers than before. Union Home Minister Amit Shah made such an announcement.

2500 percent increase
Between 2006 and 2013, 1.52 lakh kg of drugs were seized. Whereas from 2014 to 2022, 3.30 lakh kg quantity was caught with an increase of 200 percent. Now Amit Shah suddenly announced 22 thousand crores on June 26, 2023.

Earlier, Shah had announced that between 2006 and 2013, Rs. Drugs worth 768 crores were seized. Whereas between 2014 and 2022, 25 times more i.e. Rs. Drugs worth 20,000 crores were seized.

So why the drugs worth Rs 21 thousand crore seized at Adani’s Mundara port are not shown. This is a great question.

So far, about 6 lakh kg of seized drugs have been destroyed across the country. Pharma companies making essential medicines buy such medicines from the open market and quota from the government. But 6 lakh kg of drugs were not given to them and these substances were destroyed as evidence.

There is talk of making a drug free India. Operated by Narcotics Control Bureau. The Ministry of Home Affairs set up NCORD in 2019 and constituted an Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) in each state police department, with its first national conference to be held in Delhi in April 2023.

At the same time, in April, DRIA recovered about 10 lakh rupees from a container near Kandla port in Kutch. 205.6 kg of heroin worth Rs 1,439 crore was seized. Some people have also been arrested in this case. No information has been revealed about who was doing the drug business, through whom the illegal business was flourishing.

Only one mafia has been exposed. It was a case of seizure of drugs worth Rs 600 crore in Morbi. With the help of the Indian Space Research Organisation, for the first time the assets of the notorious drug mafia in Gujarat have been unearthed. Apart from Devbhoomi Dwarka, NCB also found properties of drug mafia in Morbi.

Who is the drug mafia?
Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi said in August 2022 that who are the people in the double engine government in Gujarat who are connected to the drug mafia and liquor mafia in the state, who provide protection. Is there law and order in Gujarat or is it a ‘mafia government’? Continued patronage to liquor mafia? Why are the youth of Gujarat falling prey to drugs?

Rahul Gandhi tweeted, “Last year on September 21, 3000 kg of narcotics worth Rs 21,000 crore was seized at Mundra port in Gujarat. On May 22, 56 kg of drugs worth Rs 500 crore and on July 22, 75 kg of drugs worth Rs 375 crore were seized.

How are the consignments of narcotics continuously landing at the same port? Has law and order in Gujarat ended? Do mafias fear the law? Or is this a mafia government?

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra tweeted, “Drugs worth about Rs 22,000 crore were seized three times from a single port in Gujarat. Silence in the media, lethargy in the government, silence in all the agencies of the government. Under the nose of the BJP government, the mafia is distributing drugs across the country. Is law and order lax or is it mixed with mafias?

Gujarat’s Anti-Terrorism Squad seized about 75.3 kg of heroin worth Rs 376.5 crore from a container near Mundra port in Kutch district.

In September last year, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized around 3,000 kg of heroin from two containers at Mundra port, believed to have come from Afghanistan and worth around Rs 21,000 crore in the international market.

In May, the DRI seized 56 kg of cocaine, worth approximately Rs. 500 crores.

From a container near Kandla Port in DRIA Kutch, about Rs. 205.6 kg of heroin worth Rs 1,439 crore was seized. Some people have also been arrested in this case.

One thing is clear from the way drugs are being smuggled in Gujarat that this racket has been going on for a long time since Modi became the Prime Minister in 2014. But this operation could not be done due to lack of will of the government. But when medicines worth 21 thousand crores were caught at Adani’s port, the government’s secret was exposed. The pressure of the opposition came and went, only then the action was started.

Till now everything is going on like this.

The drugs racket has been made a political issue, who is the mastermind of drugs coming to Gujarat should be answered. When Rahul Gandhi put pressure on the ruling party, he went and started taking drugs. If we come to power on the soil of Gujarat, we will investigate who is supporting the drug mafia. We will put them behind bars. Indian National Congress spokesperson Atul Patil said that Harsh Shanghvi should be told why the drugs have not been caught so far. It should be thoroughly investigated. The political patronage of Gujarat should be probed and he should be put behind bars. The Punjab International Syndicate was driven by political will. Vikram Majithia was with the Akali Dal and supported the BJP. Such leaders got caught in the racket and the international syndicate got exposed. When there is a Bharatiya Janata Party government in Gujarat for years, if drugs had been coming to Gujarat for so many years, it might have got political support. His syndicate is yet to be caught. The smugglers have been caught.
