60 lakh families in Gujarat a month free food, sugar, pulses

Distribution from approved fair shops by the State Government

In the wake of the lock-down announced in Gujarat, the working class and the daily earners and livelihood workers will be given free grains in Gujarat. Including 3.25 crore people from a total of 60 lakh families, including workers, the poor, the laborers. Grain will be provided on the ration card so that there is no food and drink problems. The families will be provided food grains from a government-approved cheap grain shop for one month from April 1. 3.50 kg of wheat per person, 1.50 kg of rice per person and 1 kg of sugar per family, 1 kg of pulses and 1 kg of salt will be given free of cost.

Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said that all stay in the house during 21 days, do not gather outside, the supply of essential goods is sufficient in the state and there is no need to fear that there will be no storage or such items.
