16 thousand new properties have been registered by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Tax Department for the financial year 2024-25. 11250 new residential and 5186 commercial properties have been assessed.

229 offices and 165 shops have been assessed in the western zone.
Only 16 commercial and 144 residential properties have been reassessed in the central zone.
After the inclusion of the new zone in the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation in 2021, 16692 commercial and 40232 residential properties, a total of 56976 properties, were assessed. A total income of Rs 18 to 20 crore will be taxed

The tax revenue in Ahmedabad was Rs 4466 crore. Property tax revenue of Rs 1127 crore. Property income has increased.
The budget for 2023-24 is Rs 9482 crore with an increase of Rs 1082 crore.
Residential properties are taxed at Rs 20 per square metre and non-residential properties at Rs 34 per square metre.
According to government records, 14,32,569 properties were registered in Gujarat in 2021-22. 16,75,648 new properties were registered in 2022-23. In which 1 lakh 51 thousand new properties were registered in Ahmedabad.
The number of properties registered in the state in 2022 was 15,97,188, which is 11% more than the 14,29,607 properties registered last year.
Government revenue from stamp duty and property registration increased by 19%. The population of Ahmedabad is estimated to be 86,51,000 in the year 2023.
The state recorded a 57% increase in property registrations and a 94% increase in e-revenue from stamp duty in 2022 compared to 2020.
In Ahmedabad, 1.73 lakh properties were registered in the district in 2020, which increased to 2.63 lakh in 2021 and 2.96 lakh in 2022. So there are not enough properties to assess property tax.
Revenue from stamp duty and registration fee increased from Rs 1,331 crore in 2020 to Rs 2,310 crore. Government revenue from stamp duty and registration fee in Ahmedabad in 2022 is Rs 2,963 crore.
