Out of a total of 526 candidates representing the BJP, Congress, and AAP across the 48 wards of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, cases have been registered against 47 candidates under serious sections of the IPC and BNS.
These charges involve grave offenses such as rioting, assault, criminal intimidation, criminal conspiracy, fraud, criminal breach of trust, violations of prohibition laws, gambling, and causing damage to public property.
Specifically, complaints have been lodged against 28 candidates from the Congress, 13 from the Aam Aadmi Party, and 5 from the BJP. Candidate Criminal Records:
