QUETTA: Six Pakistani soldiers who forcibly occupied Balochistan. Killed in an attack with natives. The attackers killed Pakistani army personnel on Monday night with the help of remote control bombs and rifles. Four soldiers were wounded in the attack. The separatist United Baloch Army has claimed responsibility for the attack on the Pakistani army.
The Pakistani troops were deployed to secure oil and gas wells in the northwestern province of Balochistan. The Baloch army constantly attacked this detachment of soldiers.
Intelligence and security officials said the attack took place on Monday night in a remote area of Pir Gab, a town in Pakistan’s north-south Balochistan province.
All the soldiers injured in the attack have been admitted to a military hospital in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan. Murid Baloch, a spokesman for the separatist United Baloch Army, claimed responsibility for the attack, saying in a statement that his group had targeted Pakistani troops deployed to protect oil and gas facility engineers in the area.
A few days ago, another attack in Balochistan killed six Pakistani soldiers, including a major. The attack took place on the Iranian border. Pakistan’s Army Chief Qamar Javed Bajwa also spoke to Iran about the attack and said the terrorist attacks should stop.
