Badruddin Sheikh Appoints MLA as Vice President in Minority Department of All India Congress

Ahmedabad Congress MLA Badruddin Sheikh has been appointed Vice Chairman in the Minority Department of the All India Congress.

Senior Congress leader and spokesperson of Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee Badruddin Sheikh has been appointed Minority Vice-President in the All India Congress by the suggestion of Congress National Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and the recommendation of Ahmed Patel as the Secretary-General of the organization KC Venugopal.

Badruddin Sheikh has previously served as the regional president of the Minority Division of the Gujarat Pradesh Congress in the Rajasthan Assembly elections of 2018 and in charge of the Lok Sabha elections.

In 2004, he served as a member of the Minority Advisory Committee chaired by Manmohan Singh and vice-chair of the Ajmer Dargah Committee.

It has provided strong support to the Congress party in important positions such as the Leader of the Opposition and the Chairman of the Standing Committee in Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.

Mr. Badruddin Sheikh thanked the Chairman of the Minority Department of the Indian National Congress, Mr. Nadeem Javed, for this appointment.
