There is fierce competition among mobile companies to become number one in the Indian market. Chinese mobile companies have dominated for some time now. But this time in India, South Korean tech giant Samsung has regained the number one crown, overtaking Chinese companies. Samsung has become the number one company after almost two years. Samsung has sold the most handsets in the Indian market.
According to a report by tech site Business Insight, Samsung has made a strong comeback in the Indian market in the second quarter of this year. Samsung now dominates 24 per cent of India’s mobile market, followed by Xiaomi. Chinese company Xiaomi has captured 23 per cent market share in India.
Experts say that Samsung has worked hard to regain its dominance in the Indian market. During the lockdown, the company put more emphasis on online sales. In addition, Samsung launched one mobile after another in each segment, giving the people of India many options.
It is to be noted that after the dispute on the Indo-China border, a feeling of boycott of Chinese products was created in the Indian market.
On the other hand, the boycott of Chinese products has not had a big impact. Recently, the festive sale of Amazon and Flipkart has also seen a flurry of sales of mobiles and gadgets from Chinese companies.
