Eid will be celebrated today in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Turkey, Kuwait and other Gulf countries. King Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia appealed to people wishing Eid to stay at home and see the social distance.
The holy month of Ramadan began a day before India and Bangladesh. Eid greetings were sent by the leaders of these countries amid the Corona lockdown. In addition, the lockdown has banned gatherings, religious processions and social gatherings.
Officials from Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Australia have also announced plans to celebrate Eid al-Fitr on Sunday. In India too, Eid celebrations have started on Sunday in Jammu and Kashmir and Kerala.
Eid will be celebrated this year amid corona lockdowns and enforced sanctions to prevent the spread of Covid-19. That is why Muslims have been asked to offer Eid prayers at home.
Eid has been announced in the Gulf countries Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
