Chinese company caught robbing Pakistanis

Islamabad
A private Chinese company doing business in Pakistan has been caught robbing Pakistanis. The report of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s committee has revealed the details of the robbery of Chinese power companies. Chinese companies have secretly plundered the pockets of Pakistani citizens by raising electricity prices.

Many Chinese companies have invested 62 620 million in Pakistan through the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. Including power companies. A large number of Pakistanis had complained to PM Imran Khan about the increase in electricity bills. After which Imran Khan formed a committee to investigate.

The investigation revealed that Huanggang Shandong Rui (Pak) Energy or Sahiwal and Port Qasim Electric Power Company Limited, established under China’s private power company CPEC, had increased its costs. This caused customers to pay more electricity bills.

Sino-Pakistani friendship is known in areas such as military assistance, nuclear programs, financial assistance. China has repeatedly defended Pakistan at the UN Security Council and other international fora. But now it seems that China is not helping the people of Pakistan, but to harass them economically.

The committee has exposed the scam in its 278-page report. However, CPEC is headed by Pakistan’s Army Chief General Bajwa, so he has very gently rejected the report, not directly blaming Chinese companies.
