Ahmedabad: Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani, in the inspiring presences of
Union Home Minister Mr. Amitbhai Shah and Deputy Chief Minister Mr.
Nitinbhai Patel, today dedicated developmental projects worth of Rs. 75-Crore,
including Income Tax Circle Flyover Bridge built at a cost of Rs. 58-Cr, to the
people of Ahmedabad city.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that since 2001 under the
visionary leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Narendrabhai Modi, Gujarat has
continued its giant stride of development. He expressed determination to
make the state a model of sustainable development through building cities and
villages equipped with modern amenities.
In this reference under the focused development, Mr. Rupani expressed the
concept of development of water conservation, “nal se jal” (water through
tap), green clean energy, development balancing with environment,
agriculture-employment and others.
Expressing that the newly built flyover bridge would ease the burden of the
traffic, the Chief Minister said that it is a new direction to build megacities
through constructions of infrastructural and amenities.
He also congratulated the team of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation for
adopting development in balance with environment through projects such as
7TP schemes at a cost of Rs. 500-Cr, Waste to Energy plant with capacity of
2,000 metric ton at Pirana, Metro Project, plantation of 10-lakh trees under the
green movement, electric-car buses and others in the city.
Union Home Minister and Member of Parliament from Gandhinagar
constituency, Mr. Amitbhai Shah, praising these developmental projects, said
that the without the people’s participation, it is impossible for the government
alone to make the progress of the country.
Expressing a confidence that under the second term regime of Prime Minister
Mr. Narendrabhai Modi, Mr. Shah said, India will not just be freed itself from
problems like border security, terrorism, and achieve fulfillment of ‘New India’,
but, also emerged as one of the three top most superpowers of the world.
Mr. Shah expressed a clear opinion that the dream of nation building
envisaged by the makers of ‘Indian Constitution’ is taking shape under the
visionary leadership of Mr. Modi.
Others who spoke on the occasion, included Deputy Chief Minister Mr.
Nitinbhai Patel, and Ahmedabad City Mayor Mrs. Bijalben Patel.
On the occasion, an audio-visual presentation of ‘Sabarmati Swachhta
Abhiyaan’, works of ‘Joint Enforcement Team (JET)’, and ‘Mission Million Tree’
were also made.
The events were also graced by Agriculture Minister Mr. R. C. Faldu, Minister of
State (Home) Mr. Pradipsinh Jadeja, MLAs from Ahmedabad, BJP President Mr.
Jitubhai Vaghani, Municipal Commissioner Mr. Vijay Nehra, Collector Dr.
