[:en]CM lays foundation stone for new ICAI Bhavan[:]

[:en]Ahmedabad: Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani today categorically stated that for the growth of Indian economy the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has to play key roles from formulating the GST Act bill to its implementation in the country.

Quoting the famous aphorism, ‘Great Power Comes with Great Responsibility’, the Chief Minister further stated that the great power to CA come with great responsibilities.

He was speaking at the function organized to lay foundation stone for the new building of the ICAI in city, this evening.

Mr. Rupani said that being intellectual property of the nation, the CAs can be a stable driving force for growth of the country.

Following the foot-steps of Prime Minister Mr. Narendrabhai Modi, we have to drive Gujarat from excellent to the best position. Gujarat is going to attract new investments worth of Rs. 343,000-Crore, which is 51% of the total investment to be made in the country. Gujarat’s annual per head income is Rs. 174,000/-, compared to national annual per head income of Rs. 111,000/-. Gujarat wants to make maximum, direction contribution towards making India’s economy to 5 trillion US$, he added.

“A Think Tank” force would be developed to set new targets for the economy of Gujarat, Mr. Rupani added.
