Classes 9 to 12 will resume in Sikkim while classes from nursery to 8th standard will start only after the next sequence.
In Corona Free State Sikkim, schools and colleges have been announced to reopen from June 15. Currently classes 9 to 12 will be resumed. When the eighth grade class from the nursery will start only after the next order. The state government has decided to open all educational institutions in the fourth phase of the lockdown.
Education Minister Kunga Lepcha said the decision was taken keeping in view all the major classes and board exams. Classes nine through 12 should be started by applying the guidelines. No classes run from nursery to eighth grade.
The online class will continue for the rest. The annual exams have been postponed until February 2021. So that more focus can be placed on the study. College and university will run in two shifts. During this time, all people must obey the necessary commands.
Currently the government has given relief in the fourth phase of the lockdown. Bookings for running trains have now started from June 1, while bookings for resumption of domestic flights have also started.
