Corruption allegations against Upleta BJP MLA Mahendra, BJP’s factionalism on the surface

BJP leaders are expressing their dissatisfaction by writing letters. A letter was written against Upleta MLA Mahendra Padaliya making serious allegations including corruption. Communalism had come to the surface.

The MLA sent a copy of the letter to the District Police Chief demanding action against the culprits.

This letter against Dhoraji-Upleta MLA and former Vice Chancellor of SAI Dr. Mahendra Padaliya has been sent to many people by post. The letter states that BJP MLA Padaliya extorts Rs 10 lakh. He takes Rs 2-3 thousand from small contractors, takes installments from officials including PGVCL engineers and Mamlatdar, there is huge corruption in the administration of the municipality and a letter with serious allegations including adultery has been circulated under the name ‘L.BJP and Sangh Ka Karyakarta’ and a copy of this letter has been sent to Delhi and Gujarat Pradesh BJP.

The MLA said that a copy of this letter has reached me, I suspect that someone from our party has written this letter due to jealousy and malice and has made false allegations against me, for which I have verbally informed the SP with a copy of the letter and demanded action against the said person. Even during the municipal elections, anonymous letters making such allegations went viral.

Controversies

Mahendra Padaliya was appointed the convener of the BJP’s State Teachers’ Cell in the year 2021. He has also been the vice-president of Rajkot Municipal Corporation from 1997 to 2000.

MLA Mahendra Padaliya’s car crashed in Upleta, Rajkot. The accident occurred when a car going on the city highway collided with a pole.

A voter called MLA Mahendra Padaliya and told him that the voter had expressed concern regarding the construction of the road from Dhoraji to Chadvavdar village. To which the MLA angrily replied that the voter. The MLA was surprised to hear the villagers’ words. And he said, “I am not a leaf plate seller.” I do not need to answer everyone. I don’t even know when the road will be built.

Lalit Vasava in the Nagar Palika alleged that Mahendra Padaliya had withdrawn his form by paying Rs 10 lakh to the rival candidate.
