In Gujarat, 171 roads of 3.75 meters of 1700 km will be 5.50 meters wide

The central government has allocated Rs 968 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana for road facilities in the state of Gujarat.

1715 km out of 171 roads in the third phase of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana in the state. An allocation of Rs 968 crore has been made for widening rural roads from 3.75 meters to 5.50 meters.

The widening of roads will facilitate people, farmers and students in rural areas. Also, transport facilities will be easily available to the citizens, resulting in higher standard of living of the citizens.
